Both minivans have excellent smartphone integration avenues. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard, as is Bluetooth® hands-free connectivity. They’ve also got touchscreen infotainment systems and part-digital instrument clusters. Venturing up the trim ladder adds tri-zone climate control and heated and power-adjustable front seats. A wireless phone charging pad is also available.
Honda equips the 2024 Odyssey with a powerful 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated engine. Developing 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, the engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The 2024 Odyssey is front-wheel drive, but Honda includes an intelligent traction management system as standard. This helps when driving in slippery or snowy conditions. Honda also adds its Eco Assist system to the 2024 Odyssey. The system aids drivers in adjusting their driving style to drive more efficiently. Independent testing has timed the 2024 Odyssey at an athletic 6.5 seconds in the 0-60 benchmark. The 2024 Toyota Sienna is exclusively offered as a hybrid. It uses a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder engine, a CVT gearbox, and two electric motors. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available. The system can produce 245 horsepower, which results in a 7.5-second 0-to-60 time. However, testers noted that the 2024 Sienna isn’t as refined as the 2024 Odyssey and prefers a slower driving pace.
